Horizontal TabsDescription See the talented students of Interlochen Arts Academy's Motion Picture Arts program present a series of original films at The Village at Grand Traverse Commons' Kirkbride Hall. Both live action and animation, these short films spotlight the talents of both this program and the students it attracts. Each year, Interlochen brings together some of the most talented young filmmakers from around the world to work in the only facility in the United States dedicated to the educational development of young filmmakers, the DeRoy Center for Film Studies. In this setting, students receive instructional courses led by experts and industry professionals, and learn the essential components of movie production. The courses culminate in the production and showing of student-made original films twice a year before live audiences.
